BLACK ENTERPRISE CALLS INVENTORS AND CREATIVE THINKERS TO ENTER THE 2014 INNOVATION SLAM
A COMPETITION TO BE HELD DURING THE FIRST PLUNGE CULTURE & CREATIVITY CONFERENCE FROM NOVEMBER 6-8 AT THE EDEN ROC MIAMI BEACH
September 17, 2014, New York, New York – Are you an entrepreneur or inventor sitting on the next big idea? Black Enterprise magazine and the Plunge Culture & Creativity Conference (PlungeCon) have teamed up to create the Innovation Slam – a competition designed to provide national exposure for people with revolutionary ideas in an effort to help bring their products and/or services to market. The deadline to submit is October 6, 2014.
Up to four finalists will be selected to present their high- or low-tech innovations before a diverse audience of Plunge attendees, including business experts, thought leaders and tastemakers from a cross section of industries. The audience will provide constructive feedback designed to help participants fine-tune their product and/or pitch. One winner will be chosen and awarded the opportunity to be featured on the “All Access” page of Black Enterprise magazine and BlackEnterprise.com, which garners more than 4 million media impressions and audience views. Participants in the Innovation Slam will also benefit from exposure to Plunge’s high-level network of attendees.
“Black Enterprise is proud to host Innovation Slam at Plunge. We have always believed that creativity and innovation have and will always be the drivers in the advancement of business and society as a whole. Plunge offers a powerful venue to discover and showcase the next big ideas from the next generation of innovators before an audience of some of our nation’s most brilliant, accomplished individuals. Those who seek to share their latest product and service should enter to gain feedback and a shot of national exposure through BE’s multimedia platforms,” said Derek D. Dingle, Senior Vice President and Editor in Chief of Black Enterprise.
