Lucinda Martinez is senior vice president, Multicultural Marketing, responsible for all HBO, HBO Latino, Cinemax and Max Latino branded targeted marketing efforts to the vast and steadily growing multicultural segments including the African American, Latino, Asian and Gay/Lesbian audiences. She was named to this position in 2013.

An industry-recognized sales and marketing expert with more than 18 years of experience in media and entertainment, Martinez has a strong record of contributions in sales, marketing, new business development, new product launches, promotions and brand management. Among her many accomplishments at HBO, she has collaboratively led the network’s branding, acquisition and retention efforts in making HBO Latino the most recognized Latino premium channel on television, and has helped create meaningful, long-term connections to the HBO brands within the rapidly changing cross cultural marketplace.

Martinez joined HBO in 1995 as an associate manager, Marketing. After a brief stint outside of HBO, she rejoined the company in 2003 as director, Direct Marketing, and named director, Strategic Partnerships and Emerging Markets, in 2005. She was promoted to vice president, Domestic Network Distribution & Multicultural Marketing, in 2006, where she oversaw all subscriber growth and retention strategies for HBO, HBO Latino and Cinemax brands and products, as well as elevated HBO’s presence in emerging markets through targeted marketing efforts in partnerships with all of HBO’s major distributors.

Martinez serves on the NY Board of the American Heart Association (AHA), where she launched the first-ever Latino Health Summit to help reduce cardiovascular disease and promote heart health among the most affected. For her work with AHA, Martinez received a 2011 Timer Warner Andrew Heiskell Community Service Award. She is also an officer on the board of the Council of Urban Professionals, and is on the advisory board of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF).

In 2010, Hyder founded the Blue Coral Advisory Group, a highly specialized security services provider and risk mitigation consultancy. Blue Coral provides premier security solutions for select clients focusing on high-­-end executive protection, private vessel maritime security and vulnerability assessments.

A graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, he holds a master’s degree from the U.S. military’s premier college for strategic thinking and campaign planning, the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Nationally renowned sports and entertainment executive Max Siegel became the fourth CEO of USA Track & Field on May 1, 2012.

At USATF, Siegel quickly went to work on growing the USATF business. Since February, 2013, USATF has announced partnerships with The Hershey Company, Neustar, Subway, the University of Phoenix, Coach’s Eye, and a landmark deal with Nike.

Working in various executive capacities in the sports and entertainment fields over the last 20 years, Siegel’s track record has consistently been that of financial growth and competitive success.

He previously served as President of Global Operations at Dale Earnhardt Inc., where he sold tens of millions of dollars in sponsorship; and as Senior Vice President at Sony/BMG and as President of Zomba Gospel, Tommy Boy Gospel and Verity Records, where he led one of the most profitable divisions in the Sony BMG system.

As a music executive, he increased top-line revenue and reduced expenses to yield unprecedented profit in the gospel industry. He also was part of the executive team overseeing the careers of stars such as Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Usher.

As the owner of Rev Racing, Siegel took NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program and advanced it from a fledging effort to add diversity to the sport into a competitive juggernaut on the racetrack. In 2011, his team’s drivers won 50 percent of all races on the K&N Pro Series East circuit, NASCAR’s top developmental circuit. In 2012, Rev Racing driver Kyle Larson became the first Drive for Diversity Driver to win the K&N Pro Series East title. Larson and Rev Racing alum Darrell Wallace Jr. both drive in national NASCAR series, with Larson earning Rookie of the Year honors for the 2013 Nationwide Series. In October, 2013, Wallace became the first African-American driver in 50 years to win in one of NASCAR’s national series. The only previous win by an African American driver was by Wendell Scott in 1963. Siegel in 2011 produced a documentary about Scott’s accomplishments.

Siegel is a former director on the boards of USA Track & Field and the USA Swimming Foundation. Additional Olympic-family experience includes work with USA Gymnastics, USA Skiing, USA Swimming and the Goodwill Games while he was an attorney with Indianapolis-based Baker & Daniels in the 1990s. In addition to representing sports figures such as Hall of Famers Reggie White and Tony Gwynn during their careers, he has created literary, television and film properties, including the 2010 BET Networks series, “Changing Lanes,” and the 2011 ESPN documentary, “Wendell Scott: A Race Story.” Scott was later selected as an inductee into the NASCAR Hall of Fame for 2015. Siegel also is the author of “Know What Makes Them Tick: How to Successfully Negotiate Almost Any Situation.”

Siegel has appeared on Oprah, NPR’s Tavis Smiley, ABC’s “Good Morning America,” ESPN, and CNBC; in print, he has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the New York Times, Ebony’s Power 100, Crain’s New York Business, Black Enterprise and Billboard Magazine, among many others.

The first African-American to graduate with honors from Notre Dame law school, Siegel is a native of Indianapolis.

Gina Prince-Bythewood (Beyond the Lights’ writer/director) wrote and directed the widely-acclaimed feature film Love & Basketball, which premiered at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival. Prince-Bythewood won an Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay and a Humanitas Prize for her work on the film. She followed that success with the HBO film “Disappearing Acts.”

In 2008, she wrote and directed the celebrated adaptation of the best-selling novel, The Secret Life of Bees. The all-star cast included Dakota Fanning, Queen Latifah, Paul Bettany, Jennifer Hudson, Sophie Okonedo and Alicia Keys. The film won two People’s Choice Awards and two NAACP Image Awards.

Prince-Bythewood studied at UCLA Film School, where she received the Gene Reynolds Scholarship for Directing and the Ray Stark Memorial Scholarship for Outstanding Undergraduate. Upon her graduation, she was hired as a writer on the television series “A Different World.”

She continued to write and produce for network television on series such as “Felicity,” “South Central,” and “Sweet Justice” before making the transition to directing.

Her television directorial debut was the CBS Schoolbreak Special “What About Your Friends,” which won Prince-Bythewood an NACCP Image Award for Best Children’s Special and two Emmy nominations for writing and directing. She also won a Community Service Emmy for her work with the Rap-it-Up campaign.

Prince-Bythewood obtained her first feature film producer credit in 2003 on Biker Boyz, a Dreamworks film which was co-written and directed by her husband, Reggie Rock Bythewood.

She is proud to fund an annual scholarship for African American students in UCLA’s film program. She resides in Southern California with her husband Reggie and their amazing sons, Cassius and Toussaint.
